	Your Amazon Wildlife adventure begins! A flight takes you from Quito to the Amazon town of Coca (approximately 30 minutes); where you will be met by the staff of the Napo Wildlife Center (NWC). The Napo Wildlife Center staff will transfer you to the dock for your exciting 2-hour motorized canoe adventure down the Ecuadorian section of the Napo River.
	During your canoe ride, you may encounter colorful local wildlife. This eco-friendly Amazon lodge is situated on Anangucocha Lake, located in the Yasuni National Park, which is a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve area. The NWC combines special comforts with incredible wildlife viewing. Access the lodge by an approximate 2½-km guided walk or 1 ½-hour hand made canoe ride. Whichever option you decide, the views of the NWC are spectacular upon your arrival.

	Accommodations:

	The 10 comfortable local cabanas are kept within the traditional native designs and each include either a spacious king-size bed or two comfortable twin beds, private bathrooms and hot water on demand. Electricity is generated by the lodge’s dependable hybrid power generator system. There is a ceiling fan in each cabana, screened windows, and mosquito nets. The cabanas also feature a beautiful private porch, providing panoramic views of the lake and forest which surround the property.

	Facilities & Activities:

	There are a wide variety of daily activities that are provided for you to choose from during your stay at NWC; Amazon trails, guided nature hikes, bird-watching, adventurous nocturnal excursions, as well as late night exploration for caymans (alligators). A visit to the local community of Anangu that works in a partnership with the lodge, will generally be a part of your itinerary. Visit the unique popular parrot clay licks, where parrots and macaws along with a variety of parakeets gather in groups to feast on the salts that the licks provide. While accompanied by a native park ranger from the local park and the bilingual naturalist guides, you will learn all about a large abundance of medicinal plants, tropical Amazon biology of the forest and will be made aware of the wildlife movement and improvements of the area.

	The guide's expertise and overall excitement will make for a very enjoyable and educational experience! With over 578 species of birds around the lodge and over 11 species of monkeys, as well as the giant otters swimming in the local creeks surrounding the property, it is hard not to be truly amazed. If you choose to view the forest canopy independently, there is a 19-meter observation tower on top of a hill next to the main part of the lodge house providing views of the local lake. A second larger 36 – meter canopy tower is located in the primary forest of the Napo. During the heat of the day, lay in one of the hammocks located on the cool terraces around the lodge or take a swim in the beautiful Amazon River. The meals at the lodge are nicely prepared and the dishes include traditional Ecuadorian cuisine. Make sure you take advantage of our Galapagos Cruise options!


Cost: From $655.00 per adult (children 11 years and younger 50% off) airfare is additional at $135.00 per person roundtrip Quito/Coca/Quito. The single supplement is available on request.
